COVID-19 Vaccination Call Center Agents for the State of Indiana

 

Indiana's Family & Social Services Administration (FSSA) is seeking applicants for full time ​contractor employment to support Indiana's vaccine information delivery program.  This call center support for Hoosiers to gain access to up-to-date, scientifically sound vaccine information will be supported through virtual technology allowing a flexible schedule to work from home.  

All training materials and guidance will be provided by the State. As the vaccination plan develops, the information available to callers will be updated and guidance and updates will be available to all call center agents.

The vaccination call center will be open 5 days a week Monday – Friday each week from 8am to 5pm EST.

Pay: $16.00 per hour

Essential Duties

Respond to individuals seeking information about COVID-19 vaccinations via phone, email, or text message

Positively always represent IN211 and the Indiana Department of Health by providing excellent customer service and responding to each inquirer in a professional, nonjudgmental, culturally appropriate manner

Establish rapport to build the groundwork for problem solving with end user

Identify opportunities to promote self-education and updates through use of online materials available to anyone

Qualifications

Experience in health care, to include community health worker training, cultural competency and health messaging is preferred.   

Bilingual applicants are highly encouraged as well as individuals identifying as minorities and individuals with disabilities. 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or or related field is preferred, but not required.

Candidates must have a Dial up, Wireless, or Satellite internet service

 

Experience:

Previous patient interaction or call center experience preferred

Skills

Actively and skillfully identify primary concern of the caller and utilize available resources to address issues with he caller, avoiding medical advice or opinions

Excellent reading comprehension, listening, verbal and written communication skills

Ability to maintain a positive, compassionate and professional attitude, even in times of stress

Must have effective active listening and problem-solving skills

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Ability to perform with frequent interruptions and/or distractions

Must be able to adapt to and retain constantly changing information

Demonstrated personal computer skills with MS Office applications and other software applications
